Unati Poshan Mission
Unati’s Poshan Abhiyan Mission focuses on eradicating malnutrition in BPL and APL population. Based on Ayurvedic principles, Unati envisions to uplift the physical and mental health and wellness of the people of Bharat with the slogan –
"किसी को बीमार ही नहीं होने देंगे, हर घर का अस्पताल खर्च कम करेंगे"
Unati was chosen for the production and supply of Khichdi premix with the given target of 200 MT(200000 Kg) in 18 days. Unati’s in-house team along with the Scientific experts customized the existing infra for designing the process keeping in view the stringent food safety norms to fulfill the given target.
Following statistics are the testament to the effort put in by Unati team:
- First day production: 2 MT (2000Kg)
- Production achieved per day: 24 MT (24000 Kg)
- Total Days for supply: 18 days
- Total livelihood generation: 2000 Man-days
- Resulted in Indigenous Tech based production capacity: 20 MT per day
Further, Unati is working with the CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (CSIR-IHBT) to produce Millet based products to eradicate malnutrition in the underprivileged societies.
